Peppadew Farm is a happy little place on the edge of the Oregon Coastal Range near Monmouth
Horses
Through the years both Sarah and I have worked at saving as many horses as we can from an early death from a kill buyer. Onsite we have two off track thoroughbreds, one of which was actually bought off a kill buyer trailer. We have a Paint, an Arab-Quarter horse (Quarrab) mix, a polish Arab and a mustang.
Heritage Birds
We continue to add additional heritage breeds of birds in an effort to preserve and bolster the numbers of these historic farm companions. Breeds include Saxony ducks, Swedish Blue, Khaki, Welch Harlequin Ducks, Bronze Turkeys, Bourbon red turkeys and more added each year.
Heritage Livestock
We will be adding several breeds of heritage livestock to the mix in the next few years. Principle among these will be Scottish Highland cattle.
Glamping / Venue
We have spots along the creek near the barn and some even more in the woods near the top of the property. There is a cedar outdoor shower with exterior sink for your comfort. Paths are well lit and last year we added a stage.
We have a 30 foot round pen available, not to mention miles of logging roads / trails for equine guests.
I have collected and image corrected manuals and blue prints that came with our boat. I am the third owner and all three were military men so we saved everything associated with anything having to do with the boat. I view the image correction as practice and I really hope that other O’Day owners can benefit. I will admit that they are not perfect, you reach a point of diminishing returns in repair work with Photoshop®.
The 40 year old is in fact the boat, Sarah and I are bit past that mark, I was in high school when this girl came into being. So this is a chronicle and collection of successes and failures in the process of rehabilitation.
Images of our adventures with Pegasus and some closeups of different critical parts to help those working on their own boats.
